Handbags & Gladrags
Rod Stewart
This is a bit of a work in progress but I thought I'd post what I have so far. There is no rhythm guitar
in this song, these chords follow the bass. This can be played in power chords and sounds fine but I think
it would make sense to transpose it into A and play open chords with a capo on the first fret, however if
you do this some of the chords sound 'off', suggesting that they are incorrect. I will post a revised version
of this soon but to be honest I am a little bored with it right now. Of course any ideas/corrections would
be very welcome

Intro: Bb G# D# F X3

Verse 1:
Bb G# D# F Bb G# D# F
Ever see a blind man cross the road, tryin' to make the other side
Bb G# D# F Bb G# D# F
Ever see a young girl growing old, tryin' to make herself a bride

Chorus:
Gm F Bb C

    D# F Bb G# D# F Bb G# D# F
The handbags and the gladrags that your grandad had to sweat so you could buy baby

Once I was a young man, and all i thought i had to do was smile
Bb G# D# F Bb D# F
You are still a young girl, and you bought everything in style

Chorus:
Gm F Bb C

    D# F Bb G# D# F Bb D# A# D#

Sing a song of six-pence for your sake, and take a bottle full of rye
Bb G# D# Bb G# D#
Four and twenty blackbirds, in a cake and bake them all in a pie

Chorus:
Gm F Bb C
