Unfortunately, however, the transcription was not presented in a monospace font and was incredibly difficult to read, meaning I had to take on the tedious task of re-spacing all of the notes in such a font, so there may be a few mistakes where I may have incorrectly aligned notes. But I did not transcribe this piece, nor did I make any alterations to it. This is presented as the original transcriptionist had intended, in an easier-to-read format. I also realize that, while the notes may be correct, the fingering positions for Fripp's part will almost definitely be incorrect, since he uses his "New Standard Tuning" exclusively on the album: C G D A E G (from low to high). If anyone feels like giving me a hell of a lot of time (preferably with a bottle of rum and nothing better to do for a week or two!) I could definitely TRY transcribing it myself in NST... but for now, this is arranged for standard tuning (E A D G B E). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elektrik is a fairly complex song. It contains several different time signatures and I will let you listen and figure out the rhythms. Throughout the "verses" Fripp and Belew play similar lines but are third apart and start at different points. For instance, in the first "verse" Belew plays on the down-beats and Fripp plays on the off-beats giving a delay effect. For the intro, I have transcribed the two guitar parts together to give a sense of the rhythm, but for the rest of the song, I've gone all the way through Belew's part and then all the way through Fripp's.
